Hilarious moments

So many funny subtle moments in this. Not even the parts which advance the plotline, but little reactions characters have to each other. They all had a good chemistry, and it worked. I really enjoyed this.

Besides the laughs, some pretty on target satire and commentary about race and culture and politics. I hope it gets a wide audience.

Yeah, there was one moment near the end which had me cracking up----I won't spoil it, but it was the complete unexpectedness of it that made me laugh at it. To me, the film really didn't get the kind of promotion it should have gotten, but it has all the makings of a good cult film-to-be, though. There's also a new book called The Black Guy Dies First, which deals with how black people have been portrayed in horror films for the majority of film history---it's a good overview of it, and it's really hilarious and fun to read on top of that.

Given how much the broader audience is sick and tired of race-baiting and race-politics these days, even with an aggressive marketing campaign most people (including myself) would not have given it the time of day.

Anyone who isn't a rabid culture warrior likely "noped" out as the entire race/politics thing about oppression, racism, etc., is so played out that it's groan-inducing any time it appears in media.

The movie is a damn comedy. Nobody here is talking about "race-baiting" or "race politics" except you. Get the hell over yourself, please. You're only speaking for yourself anyway, not the "broader audience", which includes black people like myself who watch movies, duh. Tired of you humorless, boring-a**, uptight as hell right-wingers constantly fckg shoving and injecting your politics in what are supposed to be movie boards. You haven't even seen the film, so you really have no damn right to comment on it.

Yeah, there are jokes about racism in it, but so what? The film isn't only about that---it's a horror spoof featuring and made by black people that pokes fun at horror movie tropes, particularly those concerning black people. No one gives fck what you think about a film you're never seen. Plus racism is a very damn real issue that black people and other non-white people have always had to deal with in real life, so we have every damn right to joke about having to deal with it because it's a bunch of bull****. Another good reason why nobody gives a fck about what you think about a movie you're never seen. Bye now!

I obviously am speaking for the broader audience given the user score and low box office.

Ah, tell us more about how Whites don't deal with racism in South Africa?

Or tell us more about how Whites don't have to deal with racism in places like China?

I guess in the victimhood hierarchy, objective reality is ignored to run full speed ahead in the Oppression Olympics.

Just say "those of us that don't like black people weren't gonna ever see this"

Clever humor. I laughed my head off.

I thought it should have been funnier. There were a couple mildly amusing moments, but it wasn't as funny as it should have been.
