I Laughed My Ass Off
Funniest movie I've seen in a long, long time, probably since Stuber (2019.) 5.8 is absurd. I'd watch it again, easily 7.5/10

shareI CHECKED MY LETERBOXD...I GAVE IT 3 STARS.
WHAT I WROTE...
"NOT TOO BAD...NOT GREAT EITHER THOUGH...HART AND HARRELSON ARE BOTH EXCELLENT AS ALWAYS...BUT THE FILM IS CONSTRUCTED OUT OF TOO MANY REPETITIVE ELEMENTS FROM PAST FILMS...SOME OF WHICH THESE GUYS STARRED IN...IT IS STILL WORTH A WATCH AND PRETTY ENTERTAINING IF YOU ENJOY THE GENRE AND THE ACTORS."
I agree with this 100%. A good example is the scene where Kevin Hart’s character falls flat on his back in the woods and the vantage point is him looking up at a circle of SWAT guys suddenly drawing weapons in his face. It was a complete rip off from Eddie Murphy in Trading Places.
But I have to admit, I genuinely laughed at a lot of the comedy scenes between Hart and Woody H. I thought they were very good together and the casting person picked the right actors. This was an entertaining little movie with some very clever jokes and funny scenes. Kevin Hart is just a very likable guy.
