Mediocre

One of those 'case of mistaken identity' movies where Kevin Hart is mistaken for Woody Harrelson's torturer/ hit man and then the two have to team up for... reasons.

Harrelson seems mostly bored and not at all threatening. Which is weird cuz he can play scary dudes when he wants to. Maybe he or the director figured going full psycho would kill the comedy vibe.

Hart gets in a few laughs playing the same role he plays in every movie... himself. The director probably just let him ad lib a lot and it works sporadically.

The action sequences are adequate but nothing that will make you go "whoa!".

Finally, I winced every time they pronounced it as TOR-ON-TOE. As a man from Toronto myself, I know -- and most Canadians know -- that it is said as "TORR-ONNO.

By the end, it just felt really long and tedious.

I think I did laugh one time?

reply

Same. A moment or two me chuckle but it's mostly unfunny.

I liked that final fight sequence. But that's about it. I usually like Woody Harrelson but he looked really really constipated throughout the film.

I've never found Kevin Hart as funny as most people do. I just find him & his humor mostly annoying. His jokes are just him yelling

All in all, typical "Netflix Blockbuster". Forgettable as hell

Spectacularly meh.
