An excellent film that few people are seeing.

I was surprised to see so few people have voted on this film at IMDb. It deserves a much wider audience than it is apparently getting. I gave it a 10/10.

Although this has been placed in the categories of Comedy and Family, I think it's at times much darker and adult than what most people who see those labels will be expecting. There is a lot going on here, reading between the lines. Primarily it is a Drama.

I came here hoping to find some discussion about the symbolism and themes in the film (the fox, the stones, lies, divorce, separatism, Portage street, and so on) but I guess I'll have to come back later.

I am also awaiting to discuss with people ...

Read the books its based (if they are translated) and you'll get all the meaning you want.

I am to lazy to give a real reply so I will just write: +1. Loved it.

I couldn't make it past half way. Found it boring.

Leon reminded me Henry Evans from The Good Son
Both boys were egoistic, did bad things one day but behave himself like angels in the next day.
And in both cases their parents didn't believe for a long time that the boys are bad and evil...

I liked this film a lot. I think it is for everyone; both children and adults. I could sympathise very much with Leon, and it makes me want to become a child again and stay as such forever.

I don't want realism. I want magic!

Don't think that showing it to kids is a good idea...

Had been wanting to see it since it played the film festival here years ago, and finally did. Really good movie. I would agree that it is a drama even though it is very funny at times.
