End of season two -- naked guy?

Just finished season 2. At the end of the last episode a strange pod spills out this naked adult male. Who was that? He looked at the camera briefly, and I thought he might be the soldier (Park Chan-yeong) or a clone of the soldier, but I'm not sure. (I'm not good at recognizing faces.) Any theories on who or what or why?
All in all, kinda disappointed with season 2. It felt disjointed, and with the main character (Cha Hyun-su) missing for much of it, it was a bit difficult to care what was going on. Hope season 3 will be better.
