Glad to see they are still rocking in the far future!

Some unusual cultural references, the bullfighting, the bagpipes...

Zimmer is a genius finding sounds that seem unrelated and then fit perfectly.

I still wonder how he managed to use Balkan Folk in a Sherlock Holmes soundtrack... and once listened, it seemed hard to think about anything that could fit better.

Noticed that also. Maybe a olive branch to the Scots. House Harkonnen characters in the 1984 version all had red hair.

Frank Herbert's excellent story was obviously influenced to some extent by British history in Iran. Where BP oil had lucrative drilling rights for a long time.

The houses in the book are based on the Scottish clans.
