I know that film is most likely completed already, but has anyone wondered what it would look like if fans were to have a competition-of-sorts to make their choice of actors and actresses for Dune? Here's my pick:

Duke Leto - Joseph Mawle
Lady Jessica - Rose Leslie-Harington (she is described as a younger woman in Dune book if I remember correctly)
Paul - Isaac Hempstead Wright
The Emperor - Charles Dance
Princess Irulan - Sophie Turner-Jonas
Baron Vladimir Harkonnen - Conleth Hill
Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen - Thomas Brodie Sangster

Yes, I am GoT-lite, as you said, first and foremost I went with physical appearances of the actors from the original Dune movie and at first I thought of Aidan Gillen as Dr. Yueh, but then Count Fenring came to mind...

how the hell did Bean, Dance and Nataile Dormer avoid being cast?! I mean Dune is fricking made for those guys. My guess is Denis is saving them for the (never to be made) sequel (i wouldve added Emilia Clarke too but she is like a sign a sure fire movie is gonna bomb and Dune didnt any more of that)

Actually, a few movies Clarke made were financially successful like Me Before You, Terminator 5, and Last Christmas. Solo's the only major flop she's been in.

I like some of your choices. It's a bit too GOT reprising. Also, if you're going to cast Sean Bean, his character must die or else the movie will suck.
