Not good, but better than expected

Megan Fox. Remember when Hollywood tried to make her a thing a decade ago? This movie isn't likely going to revive interest in her. The lead role is the sort of role that Charlize Theron could handle readily, but Fox is passable in it.

For me, the best character was her sidekick Kasinsky. I don't think I've seen Philip Winchester in anything else, but he's like the anti-Hudson from Aliens. Constantly sardonic and cool under pressure even after being mauled by a lioness.

Elsewhere the acting is bearable, not memorable. Nobody else is going to get a job offer based on this entry in their CV.

The premise is similar to Pitch Black... two groups in conflict come into contact with an even deadlier enemy.

Yes, I agree with others here that the distracting and sub-par CGI lets this movie down.

Competent to average acting, a good story but the visuals are terrible.
