Couldn't get through it.

I laughed once and that was when Bill Murray appeared, his death scene was very amusing (not sure why everyone is saying it was crap).

I also don't really get the Jesse Eisenberg thing....the guy has no charisma, looks, charm or comedic ability...so why is he on my movie screen being cast as the hero of this film? Yup, the neurotic Jew thing has been done to death...give me something new please! I'm sure not all Jews are neurotic geeks.

He was cast as Mark Zuckerberg...because he's an annoying geek, fine! I have no problem with annoying geeks personally, but there's a time and a place, and he just grated in this film.

The young girl irked me the most...she just grated on me throughout the entire film.

For a classic horror/comedy built around zombies see Shawn of The Dead or even Dawn of the Dead (original and remake), but this film was poorly written and executed.

...maybe it's a gamer thing...

Well I personally liked the movie ( and as you said, the Bill Murray-scene was the highlight for me ).

But I get where you're coming from, even though I liked it, I can't really see what's the fuzz all about.
I figured this movie was intented as a sort of cult-movie, which is fine by me , but even for a cult-movie the writing at times was extremely bad and so were most of the scenes.

I think I just mainly liked it because I love Woody Harrelson in basically everything he does and on top of that I love zombie comedies but then again, this comedy tried too hard and failed far too many times.

As to your remarks to Jesse Eisenberg and the young girl, I'm inclined to agree.

When it comes to laughing ( as you started your post ) , I rarely laugh out loud with movies but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy them. I don't think I really laughed out loud once during this movie but I still enjoyed it and appreciated for what it was ( despite having a few complaints here and there ).
But if it really was intended as a sort of cult-movie, then I'm not going to bother too much with minor ( or major, subjectively speaking ) details.
Not that those details do not matter for a cult-movie, but personally, I can let them rest.

In the end, to each his own. This movie is a comedy at it's funedaments and I find it really hard ( mostly pointless) to discuss comedy due to subjectiveness.

Agreed, ask someone to point out the funnies and they'd be struggling.

No they wouldn't. You just wouldn't laugh at the moments pointed out. Which is fine that you don't like them, but don't pretend the jokes don't exist at all just because you don't find them funny...

I struggled too - I did make it to the end but only because I'm a stubborn headed fool!

I really didn't find anything amusing other than Columbus hitting the clown with the mallet and the "honk honk" noise the clown made. It raised a smile, not a laugh.

I absolutely agree about Mark Zuckerberg - I know, it's Jesse Eisenberg, but he just came off as the MZ character fighting zombies.

If it's a gamer thing then I'm definitely out!

Yeah I watched it today on the insistence of many other zombie film fans that stated it was somehow 'one of the best, if not the best zombie film' and definitely feel cheated and that it's highly overrated.

It fell very flat to me and I didn't find it amusing or anything special. Not to say it's bad, but didn't think it was worthy of this 'cult classic' label that people give it, and the high rating it has. Honestly, I have no idea why people recommend it the way they do. I get that humor and what people find entertaining is subjective - but I just don't understand the appeal here. There are definitely better zombie genre films, with better stories, and better characters out there compared to this one.
