The thought process of those women is alien to me. They meet two men, who aren't interested in raping, killing, torturing, or stealing from, them, and what do they do? They screw THEM over not once, but TWICE. On top of that, they never showed remorse for their actions later on. Never mind the fact that both are able bodied, and at least one of them can handle himself in a fight.
How these characters were supposed to be likeable is beyond me.

The movie would have been a lot better (and by that I mean "wouldn't have sucked") if the last half hour was nothing but the two girls being slowly devoured by the zombies. Hated hated hated them, wanted them to die almost as soon as they appeared and got more and more annoyed by the movie as I realized I was supposed to root for this brats.
The same applies to the boy. Tiresome stereotypical geeky twerp.
The more I think about this movie the more it sucks.

- emphasis is mine. Which may say more about you, than the characters these girls were playing... How do you really feel, you_savvy?
Did you think it was interesting that the bitches (as you call them) put the main protagonist in a situation he hated, but then he was able to over come his fear an the odds and well Tallahassee kicked some sasafrassie zombie corps to help out.
I mean the crux of this is trust, right? The girls trusted no one else - even Columbus didnt really trust anyone - if you remember the little standoff Tallahassee and Columbus had when they met?
In the end, it was like any other dis-functional family road trip - where the family learns to trust each other (or not).
quit being a feminist and use your brain. the lead character didn't trust anyone, but he sure as hell never STOLE from anyone, just for the sake of it. and for someone who didn't trust anyone he sure as hell had no problem being nice to a girl that robbed him and held him at gun point.
I find that with a lot of female charaters. Most writers think tough woman = cold hearted b!$@h, but in the end they just come off as unlikeable. Though I like little rock and Witchita do grow on me towards the end.
I also disliked the characters and the choices they made in the film. I can hardly attribute their ability to "con" as the best or most effective long term survival strategy. Both Wichita and Little Rock were nothing more than lucky they encountered Columbus and Tallahassee and not some professionally trained soldiers or former soldiers like the kind that currently work for private security firms. Their fate would have most likely have been vastly different had they encountered men or other similarly like minded individuals such as themselves with the same skill level or better at "conning" people. Both girls think only in short term goals and do not take into account the repercussions in the decisions they made/make. It would only be a matter of time before all four of them encounter more aggressive survivors and they are killed or taken prisoners or most likely worse in the case of Wichita and Little Rock.
My wife and I enjoyed this movie. "Bitches" and all. We also enjoyed Shaun of the Dead, ALL Romero's zombies, TWD, 28's, WWZ, and countless other's. Depends on the mood. As with all internet posts, we can all talk big unless a situation happens to us. Then we s@#t down both legs, fight back or as people in combat know, both.
Because, according to the rules of post-apocalyptic male fantasy, hot female survivors can't possibly have plans or motivations of their own and must be eager to attach themselves to anything male that isn't actively trying to rape them. And be grateful to have found such a gem of a man. An honest-to-god non-rapist. Wow. I mean, what else can you possibly want in a man?
If it isn't already perfectly clear, let me hammer that point: this is the type of fantasy commonly enjoyed by real life losers who can't see themselves attracting a female any other way than to have society collapse, see all their competition dead or undead or whatever, and to have the standards of even the hottest chicks drop to "yay, a non-rapist!".
For shame. Look, just because you're feeling undateable it doesn't mean you can't have a little dignity.
Finding Wichita "unlikeable" because she didn't immediately attach herself and her kid sister to a wet noodle doofus and a crazy-eyed twinkie-obsessed zombie-killing-machine? Says a lot about you. And it is NOT dignified.

You're confusing "being a bitch" with "being a strong woman". Easy enough mistake to make, given that many screenwriters have followed this route over the past two decades.
Nice attempt at going for the low blow, by the way.

The sisters have been pulling scams since before Zombieland began, so they did what they knew best, they stole and cheated their way through. In the end, after all they have been through together is when they finally realize that maybe they would work out as a team. That's kind of the whole ongoing theme throughout the movie (even with Bill's Cameo.... He was out for himself, acting like a zombie to get what he wants and do what he wants)
Betraying the same person/group of people multiple times in the post-apocalypse is probably a quick way to an unceremonious death. Fortunately, both men possessed enough patience not to retaliate on sight when the women made yet another reappearance.
Harrelson might have been a bit standoffish with Eisenberg to begin with, but he always square-dealed him.
