What was YOUR 1st R rated movie? Continued.

Hey once again! I posted this about a year ago, but it vanished on me so I guess I'll start it again! My first R was The Lost Boys I think. I used to hate it, but I recently re-discovered it and now it's one of my fave movies of all-time. Anyway, what was yours?

I think it was The Shining. Easily the scariest film I've ever seen. It was pure horror to watch it as a child.

Terminator 2, I cried because Arnie died at the end! XD

Well here in New Zealand we have many different levels of R rating. R13, R15 (those two weren't around when I was young), R16, R18.

When I was 8, I watched Terminator 1 & 2 (those would be R in the US?). That was an awesome night. Back then they were rated 16 (not R16, though) but now they're M for mature meaning 14/15 yr olds can hire and a lot of M rated films would be R in the US.

I turned 18 not long after Sin City came out so that was the first R18 I saw in the cinema, anyway.

First 18 rated film I even saw was Alien when I was about 9 or 10

I'm old - It was "Woodstock" when I was 15. My parents had to sit thru 3 hours of Rock'n'roll to accompany me to the movie, just incase I'd be traumatized by a few four letter words, and watching hippies skinny-dip (and maybe 2 of them screwing)

I don't remember, but it might have been Friday the 13th Part 7: New Blood.
It just sort of happened. I probably would have chosen a different R-rated movie if I really put some thought into it and wanted it to be special.

And just in case you're wondering, the first NC-17-rated movie I ever saw was A Dirty Shame. Yeah, that movie with Johnny Knoxville about looking for ways to maximize sexual experience ... or something. John Waters is weird.

Animal House - my dad took me to see it in the theater when I was 12. The screwed up part was that he had already seen it!

American Pie 2, at the tender age of 9. Went with my cousins to watch Planet of the Apes, but it creeped me out so we watched American Pie 2 instead haha. They covered my eyes when the nudity came on screen, but did so without looking so I peaked through the big gaps between my cousins fingers.
