Is it me or the quality of the footage - from 1974! +non professional filmaker&equipment- is unbelievable? I thought it was almost more astonishing than the wirewalk itself!

Its film which was expensive to shoot with. Its quality is far superior to the consumer level video cameras that came out later.

It really did have an almost unreal quality to it. No wonder people thought it was part of the recreation. The sound was very clean as well.
