Wow.. did they really allow planes to get that close to buildings back then. It looked like it was right next to him basically. I don't know how it passing by didn't throw him completely off.

shareIt was a creepy scene, but how close was that plane in reality? Honestly, I found this whole film pretty creepy, mainly for the reality it fails to address.
shareWhen you shoot with a telephoto lens it compresses the foreground and background making things seem closer together than they really are.....It made for a great photo (as a photographer myself)...in reality it wasn't as close as it looked, but last time I flew to NYC we flew along the east river and seemed close to me post 911...but really not "that close"...same thing in Chicago...we banked around the tall buildings there..made for a great view...but it wasn't dangerously close or anything in reality.
