There's thousands of zombie flicks that have the same story... scientific experiments go wrong, some strange fluid is set free, through rain or something else it gets into the ground water and causes the dead to rise from their graves as zombies... and then all hell breaks lose?
You might as well ask what was the point in makin' "Land Of The Dead" if a similar movie had been made almost 20 years earlier, namely J.R. Bookwalter's awesome "The Dead Next Door"? Here we have the same scenario... zombies right from the beginning with no explanation why the dead walk the earth again and some kinda special force trying to get rid off those undead, flesh eatin' monsters.
What has been Fulci's point of makin' "Zombi 2", if Romero had done similar movies before?
Well, I'd say it's just FUN!! Who cares if this or that storyline has been used before? As long as the movie's entertaining, it's achieved its goal. And I'm sure "Zombie Massacre" will be entertaining as hell!!
