Is the video game even out yet?

When I first heard about this I was like, there is a vide game called "Zombie Massacre" and then I went to gamespot and turns out it isn't even released yet. So how can you make a movie on video game which no one has palyed yet (aside from the developers and testers)? I don't want to be one of those guys who just attacks him cause EVERYBODY is against the guy but I really want to know.

I take it you haven't seen any of Bolls other films?

He doesn't make films of games, he cashes in on the titles.

Most of his films have nothing to do with the games.

For instance; Far Cry is being filmed in Germany.

Hopes this helps some.

Zombie Massacre was an arcade game back in 1988, where you drove and shot zombies at the same time. The upcoming Wii version is an update and that's why Uwe jumped on the title.

And Boll sucks on purpose http://www.cinemablend.com/feature.php?id=209

so what if its gonna be filmed in Germany lots of movies are directed in places they arent based in ,and also it comes in 2010 so what if the games not out

reply

I think his point was that Far Cry the game is about a tropical island, and they don't have so many of those in Germany nowadays.

reply

Well, more famous, and obviously talented, directors have done that before. Stanley Kubrick shot Full Metal Jacket in England. Vietnam in England?

reply

Key word there is talented...

reply

Wrong. The Vietnam scenes were definatly not filmed in England. Does it bloody look like it? No, the bootcamp scenes were filmed in England but that's it.

Do'h

reply

Actually, the Vietnam scenes WERE shot in England. Dorset stood in for the Vietnamese countryside, and the Da Nang scenes were shot in the Isle of Dogs. The difference is that Kubrick had a huge budget and strong directorial vision, and could pull it off.

reply

It's a well know fact that the last hour of Full Metal Jacket was shot at the disused Becton Gas Works, not far from the centre of London. Kubrick had most of the buildings there creatively demolished, then planted palm trees and brought in authentic Vietnam era tanks and equipment.

If you do a Google image search for Becton Gas Works + Full Metal Jacket, you'll find a number of images of the location, as it was when Kubrick used it.

reply

adamh00 you are gravely mistaken, it is obvious Far Cry is shot somewhere near vancouver (canada)

Yeah, what whoever else said. He basically makes a movie then sticks a title from a game on it.
Then people are like, "Cool! That game was fun!"
Then they go see it and their tune changes to, "This blows!"
Then they go home, get on this website and say, "Uwe Boll is bad!"'
Then everyone else says, "Yeah! Let's make all these dumb websites with fake polls and crap and when it reaches X number of people he won't be able to make any more movies!"

But it doesn't reach X number of people because we know that you don't get him to stop making movies by saying, "Poop on you Uwe Boll." We get him to stop making movies by not paying to see his movies. We don't even watch pirated versions. We just watch our own versions that we've made up in our minds.

Also, Zombie Massacre is a stupid title.

Resident Evil, Dead Rising, Left 4 Dead FTW

And Wii sucks. 360 + PS3 + PC = Good.

And Hideo Kojima said that he won't let Uwe Boll do a Metal Gear Solid movie.

"Can I wear the mask from Scream while I do you from behind?"
