How successfull will this be?
I watch Uwe Boll things. I'm proud to have a DVD of Rampage, and other films such as in the name of the king is OKAY and house of the dead terrible, but funny. I will see whatever rubbish or masterpeices he throws out. However, upon seeing this rocket to 52 in the moviometer on IMDB I wonder if this viral marketing works. He was a natorious name: but any publicity is good. Uwe Boll is confident, already stating he will make a bloodrayne 4 "for money".
THe first bloodrayne with Ben kingsley and prostitudes reacouped at most 2/10s of its $25 mill budget, spending $10mill on advertising (that there was a lawsuit over) and may have lost $27 million in an error where they shiped 5500 extra reels to cinemas that didn't want it. However, its DVD (with lots of features and even a copy of a game- worth $25?, movie sold for RRP $26.99) went on (So i've heard) to ship 1.6 million copys in America, with rentals and TV distributions and other countries may have been success. Not least because of German tax law also.
It spawned a sequel: blood rayne 2 and now this. My question is: How successfull will this be? Will Uwe's next film be hitting the cinema's again?
