Nazi's salute

Do they have the same salute as the USA? In the beginning one nazi kept saluting the USA way

There is a basic military salute that most armies use (with minor variations). The Nazi salute wasn't mandatory for German soldiers until around 1944 (after an attempt on Hitler's life).
