Why exactly did the Nazis have American accents?
share...because American film makers think that the American audiences are too lazy or too dumb to watch a film with sub-titles. And in cases like this film, they are probably mostly correct. Any audience, American or otherwise that watches this film is going to be disappointed if they are watching for historical accuracy or realism.
