Much better than everyone says...

First of all I want to say...did any one of you really expect the next great comedy out of this movie? Seriously?

Tonight when my friend and I decided to go see it we said "Hmm, sometimes it's fun to watch something really stupid" and that's what this movie was, it was so out there and idiotic that you have to laugh through most of the movie.

If you couldn't tell how retarded the movie was going to be based on the previews you might want to get your eyes or IQ checked out, as it was clearly going to be stupid. However, if you go into a stupid movie, knowing it will be stupid, it's going to be funny. Therefore the pure idiocy of what happened in the movie ends up being hilarious.

Seriously, smarten the eff up and stop pretending like you thought it was going to be something amazing. Then you come on here like Roger Ebert trying to point out plot holes and character flaws, give me an effing break. And loosen up a little bit.

6.5/10.

No one expected this movie to be great. It wasn't funny either. Being stupid and idiotic doesn't mean it's funny. Some movies pull it off (e.g. Dumb and Dumber), this one didn't. Most people aren't trying to be pretentious. They just hate awful movies. This one was so bad you can tell it sucked from the trailer.

Exactly, and then all of you einstein's went to the theater, watched the movie, then came on the board to whine about how much of a horrible movie it was.

Do you realize how braindead that is?

It isnt going to win any awards, but it was kind of fun. This kind of movie is a leave your brain at the door and enjoy.

The real problem is that it's a "raunchy comedy" that has too much raunch with not enough comedy to balance it out. The humor is just plain juvenile. There are movies that are "stupid" but still effectively funny. One poster mentioned Dumb and Dumber, and I will include Kung Pow with this. They're both stupid movies that KNOW they're stupid, and the humor is very self-conscious of that fact. This is a stupid movie that isn't trying to be overtly stupid, or at least it isn't consciously stupid. At the end of the day, it's an awful movie. You may have enjoyed it, but clearly the VAST majority of critics, viewers, and everyone else did not. That seems to clearly reflect your sense of humor, for better or worse.

If you find yourself saying "well what, did you expect it to be great" thats a sure sign the movie sucked. I didn't expect much but expected to laugh, i didn't. Not only that, but it looked like it was made by amateurs. Why was this movie made? It didn't offer anything. You shouldn't have to rationalize what you think of a movie. If it sucked it sucked.
