Ending (Spoilers)

Overall I enjoyed the show and it didn't give too many clues as to who did it throughout. Well acted and it was entertaining, though nothing extraordinary. I would recommend if you like a murder mystery.

However, the ending was a bit disappointing. So the pregnant lady is arrested, but what actual evidence did they have against her? A claim by someone that they think she stole the pills, traces of tallow from lotion that anyone had access to in the house, and then the police officer observing that she was nervous washing a glass? I kept thinking, unless she admits it, the cops have no witnesses or hard evidence to prove that she committed the murder. Sure the motive was there, but that was all they had. I thought the ending really needed a smoking gun that she committed the crime.

It might explain in part why they didn't show the family immediately lawyering up. If the family had an attorney present the cops would have been stuck more or less proving it was some kind of accidental drowning.

But a moneyed family not lawyering up was almost so disconnected from reality that it was jarring.

If this had been Succession, I would have expected a lawyer to have shown up and explained to the cops that they had no evidence as the family climbed into helicopters.
