Why are they all black? Was this just box-ticking or is there any historical accuracy to this?

Why it's box ticking of course. I was wondering when the first black person would appear in this, and on cue in the first episode up one popped alongside the Duke of Somerset when he was fighting in Scotland, and the pair of them were just chatting away like good old buddies. It's all utter poppycock of course. Gotta keep the pathetic leftie woke wanks happy haven't we.
