Ending: Why does the main guy...

Why would he choose to be with her if she is like the women that caused him to change? he said he realized the "truth" because all he knew was women that were depressed, unfaithful

She was willing to makeout with him, even though she was planning to sleep with the man she is seeing that weekend. She didnt mind doing this, what will she do now that she is with him? Wouldnt he worry shed be like the other girls that paraded in his life?

"Well, for your information, it was more than just one. It was more like a parade. Codependent girls, unfaithful girls, depressed girls, narcissistic girls, phony girls. Girls who, it turned out, didn't actually like me. By the time I hit 30, I realized that you can only have so many lousy relationships before you figure out there's no such thing as a good one. "

She's not unfaithful, she broke up with Colin, Mr. Nice guy, because she realized that a fake love won't last, it's like a lie.
She did it without having another option already, that convinced him. IMHO

I think the whole point of the movie was that you can pretend to be someone else in order to get a guy or a girl (In this movie Colin), but you will only be in a real relationship if you are yourself and the other one still likes you.

Because the two leads didn't meet on dates etc. they were not pretending to be someone else and still fell for each other. So when they started dating the knew who they dated and still were willing to give it a shot.

In my opinion there is a lot of truth in that. If I think of my failed relationships usually it was because it turned out that the guys were not how I think they were.
