The dance scene was, for me, an incredible moment of complicity, sensuality and sexual tension.
IMHO, it would have been better if they had not kissed right after, the tension would have continued until the hallway scene, where he goes to her room... I thought the elevator scene was useless and it spoiled the moment, somewhat... But maybe I'm the only one to think that way !

Agreed with most of minodaspike's comments. The part that I didn't like is when the two of them (Kathy and Gerard's characters) end up falling for each other.
I really wished the film had NOT gone for the easy way out and have the two main leads fall for each other. I think I would respected the characters a lot more had they just continued on their separate way of romantic discovery with other people.
The ending of the film was way more unnecessary and useless then the elevator scene IMHO.
Really??? The elevator scene is one of my most favorite parts of the movie!
