(spoilers) What i didnt get.......

.... is why peter got the girl in the end. I mean why? He didnt do or say anything to charm her or make her laugh- she spends the whole game annoyed and unimpressed by him.And yet, once the day is saved, she runs to venkman and starts making out with him.

In the first movie, peters wise cracks and charm wins dana over but no such thing happens here, the whole thing just felt forced. I just find it annoying when the hero gets the girl for no other reason than the fact that he's the hero, its just lazy writing.

(By the way, im not saying that i hated the game or anythign, i loved ghostbusters the videogame, its the best ghostbuster game ever- i just found that kiss at the end, really forced and tacked on)

I agree, especially since the storyline was 2-3 years later after GB2 where Dana & Venky reconcile.

I agree, this is the weakest part of the game. But it's totally in character for Peter to hit on the girl... and would've been a let down if he didn't get her.

It does hurt the Dana/Peter dynamic from part II, but it's easy to play it off that the two are obviously broken up again considering that Dana doesn't find Peter as a desirable father figure.

That was the problem that Sigourney Weaver first said no to the game, she didn't wanted to appear, while Ramis and Aykroyd already wrote the main plot...with Weaver in mind as Dana Barrett. After that they re-wrote the plot with Selwyn in her place and i bet it was under some pressure to finish it in time, so they didn't thought out everything.
It's a shame that Weaver wasn't in the game as Barrett, it would've made way more sense as with that new character.
