Ghostbusters 3

This is the closet thing to Ghostbusters 3 you'll ever get. Can you believe Bill Murray said yes to a game, and no to the sequel?

reply

why is that surprising? the game features all the major characters and they still get the chance to look the way they did 20 years ago as opposed to today where they are all old and fat. also they probably looked at it like a good chance to do some fun voice acting and make a groundbreaking videogame that for GB's, has never been done before. plus wit all this talk about a "new team", seriously......a 3rd movie could never work today. it could have worked sometime in the early 2000's, but today? and who really wants to see a new team of young idiots as GB's? yeah, I didn't think so. the game is really awesome and yes, its as close to a 3rd movie as we will get, I would say even better then a 3rd movie. they really put a lot of time and effort into this game and it shows.

Realism, Remakes and Unnecessary Sequels are ruining movies!

reply

I agree totally, actually this game was better than Ghostbusters 2

reply

now THAT I have to disagree with. GB2 is a great sequel and plus you cant compare a videogame to a movie really.

I don't see why not. It opens like a movie, it's a full movie script and it was obviously treated as Ghostbusters III. Not only that, but games are so closed to movies in general, nowadays.

Maybe now you'll never slime a guy with a positron collider, huh?

Piffer only plays Angry Birds

reply

Yes I can, just like Arkham Asylum is a much better Batman than any of the previous Batman films.

reply

UMM NO. first off that's your opinion and the hell NAH no videogame is better then the movies. the AA games are better then the Nolan movies that's for sure.

reply

I do treat the game as Ghostbusters 3 in a way.

Why not? It's a complete script.

It's utterly amazing!

In fact, didn't Danny Aykroyd himself, when asked about Ghostbusters 3, say :

'Have you played the game?'

reply

Actually there are quite a few games that rival films, and this is coming from a film fanatic who doesn't play all that many games. Case in point, The Last of Us.

It makes sense, the videogame was the best way to get young folks interested and it worked. Weaver being a total stuck up .... thought she was "above it all" is now trying to do the same with her alien game.

reply

glad they made it
