Why a sequel?
The original film wasn't a big hit....
shareI really liked the original and always wanted to see a sequel, especially the way they ended it. But I want the original cast, not this crap.
shareAs far as original cast, I don't think a sequel should have the 2 brothers in it (I'd imagine after an incident like that, they won't be in the mood to play any more pranks on people for a LONG time), but it SERIOUSLY sucks that they aren't bringing back Ted Levine as the voice of Rusty Nail. His performance was a BIG part of what made the first film so creepy.
shareWhy would it have the same cast? Shouldn't their characters know better than to drive cross-country again? A new cast of characters being victims to Rusty Nail is just what a sequel should need. I can't wait until this comes out. I have been dying for a sequel ever since I heard that voice over the CB radio at the end of the first one... "Looks like rain. I like it when it rains. Keeps everyone inside. Washes everything clean..." It does suck Ted Levine won't be back to voice Rusty Nail, but if the voice is just as scary, I won't mind.
shareI agree. Any movie where they completely change the cast is automatically lame.
