What did Noa see through the telescope?

I'm guessing it was Saturn. I first thought he was just looking at the moon, but later in the bunker, when he sees the Orrery, he seems to recognize Saturn and even touches it like it's familiar.

Good movie, although a bit stretched out IMO. Would have been a lot better with a tighter edit.

Also, I still don't get why Freya Allen's character was stalking Noa - she couldn't have possibly known in advance that him and his clan would be captured by the same group of apes that were in the location she needed to go to, and that Noa would therefore help her with the quest. If she knew that the apes were settled next to the bunker, why not just let them capture and take her, or avoid them altogether and go there instead of all the things she did?

She knew that the bunker was in Proximo's kingdom/fortifications, and that he was abducting ape clans to populate his kingdom. I think she was tracking Sylva's goon squad and knew Noah's clan was next. It was a way in for her and she had been watching Noah in the wild and knew he was intelligent and could be a potential ally.

Good reasoning, I'll take that.

What do you think he saw through the telescope - Saturn or the moon?

reply

Saturn does sound likely, although I wonder if it's something to come in the next movie. Assuming there will be one I hope.

I was thinking about a satellite or a space station.
