He hinted at it the dinner episode. If he knew the ghosts were there combined with the fact that he can't see nor sense them, how could he ever feel comfortable showering or pooping? No one in their right mind would be okay with staying there.

Apparently there are ghost everywhere, which means they've been living their entire lives in the presence of peeping tom spirits and always will. What good would it do him to leave?
