Wasn't excited about Willis getting the lead, but...
...I thought he did a pretty good job. A little old, but he pulled it off.
I also thought that in today's PC climate, the movie would be watered down compared to the original. But it wasn't. There was a bit of breast beating by a radio DJ, but nothing over the top. And the movie ended with the same tone of the original, with [spoiler]the cop knowing what Kersey did but letting him go anyway, and then Kersey looking like he might start up again in a different town.[/spoiler]
Although I still think that an actor like Hugh Jackman or Bradley Cooper would have been a better fit in this role.
