Ok....
Love revenge films like Drath Wish, but if someone would've asked me who could do a remake I would have never said Roth/Willis.
Roth did shock very well with Hostel but in terms of characters and reality I don't think he can pull it off and Willis has been just cashing paybacks for the last decade or so.
The great thing about the original Death Wish was the violence was stylized, hit you in the gut and you could relate to the protagonist. But that was the late 70's.
Now our whole culture has changed and to be frank I think Kersey would be seen as a villain than an anti hero.
I think they should have given an up and come director a low million dollar budget, cast someone unexpected, try to not make it seem like a Taken movie and see what happened.
But Willis is too big, Roth has his wheelhouse and no one whose a fan of the original would really be interested in seeing those two guys tackle this project.
