Looking forward to this one....

with the recent poor efforts such as Green Street and The Football Factory too many 'cants' and 'mugs' and little substance, it'll be great to get a real, northern perspective on the casual scene, and the fact it's a period film makes it even better, more details no doubt, music, labels, haircuts, style - the culture. Done properly!

Kevin Sampson's book is a superb piece, one of - if not, the best thing written on the scene, I'm really looking forward to this one.
I was lucky enough to see a scene being filmed on location yesterday 11/11/07 at Birkenhead North station, and met most of the cast, all sound lads who look and act the part very well, the fights were well choreographed and very convincing, if that taster was anything to go by we could well have a cult classic on our hands.

I agree. The book is a classic! I've just seen some footage on the Youtube from the early filming. Awaydays is a brilliant book and I can't wait to see this picture.

"Football Factory" and "Green Street" were terrible at showing the point of hooliganism in our culture today, too much stone island if you ask me, at least finally some good terrace clothing will be in the film, note the pics of the fight scenes, showing the crew in adidas vintage, cords and them lovely bottle green peter storm kagouls.

Come 'ead ;)
