Awaydays - Bigger than the book!
Managed to see it at the BFI festival yesterday and was blown away. Its sort of different to the book, a much bigger drama. There's some naughty action from the pack but its the thing between Carty and Elvis that does your head in. Found myself welling up for the first time since Bambi!
The music is blindingly good, not obvious except for Joy Division, I didn't know post-punk was so emotional. The whole thing is still running round my head now at work and I'm sort of really wishing I was 18 again and jsut had music, clothes, and footy to worry about.
Someone tell me where to get a green cagoule like the pack and I'm out of here.
