Blows other hooligan films away

A little bit too much style over substance, but it still blows The Football Factory, The Firm (2009) and Green Street out of the water. I loved the soundtrack, the haircuts and the fashion. Plus any film with Stephen Graham is instantly ten times better for it.

What a pile of *beep*

Worst Hooligan film I've ever *beep* seen. I thought Frodo running around beating up hardened criminals was unrealistic, this takes the biscuit.

A 'pack' of little fairies. My Sister could beat half the main cast up.

It was far better than than most football/hooligan films I've seen but it was deeper so it will go over a lot of peoples heads.

It was also interesting for me to get the northern take on things, although I wanted to smack them half the time they were speaking ("I've got you on the gezzy", "the wrong trainys" ?? BANG! Stop speaking like a 6yo!). Although the little cowards would've probably pulled a stanley knife on me.

There were lots of things wrong with this film; Elvis' pretentious, existentialist babbling gave it all a feel of 'small local theatre production' and they won every fight without sustaining as much as a scratch, despite seeming to be boys against men.
Also I have to disagree about Stephen Graham. He plays the same two dimensional character in everything I see him in and I keep expecting him to call someone a Smeg 'Ead. (I know that's Craig Charles but in my mind I can't separate them).

But the music was good, there was an interesting plot that went deeper than bored idiots having a tear up in some Fila and Nick Love wasn't involved. A good 6/10.
