I Disagree With Everybody Who Dislikes This Film

I thought this film was up there with the 1986 original The Firm in terms of a football casual film. It was the first in my opinion that had a strong anti-violence ending and also the first that had a Shane Meadows feel to it. Acting was superb I think Stephen Graham is Britain's strongest actor along with Paddy Considine at the moment. There was definite chemistry and a strong friendship portrayed very well with the two leads who I hope will go on to do great things. I thought it was a extremely realistic portrayal of the eighties in England and convincingly pulled it off. I think this is the first film in its subgenre to have a heart and an actual story to tell. I was literally shocked to the core it had such a low rating on here and that there are so many people against it on these boards.

...then I'll add my voice to the numbers of those who do like it. The low rating surprised me too. The film has a lot going for it.

I agree fully , I'm guessing the film watchers who were dissapointed in it, were probably looking for a load of 'slang' swearing and talk of Mobs joining up and going Abroad etc.. This was not meant to be anything like the films in this genre previously made, it was WAY more intense.
I thought it rocked,totaly!

I was astonished to see such a low rating. An interesting, intense film with an incredible soundtrack. Definite echoes of Shane Meadows' work, albeit without much of the humour.

I collect spores, molds, and fungus.
