The Worst Football Hooligan Film Ive Ever Seen

Blimey, watched this last night and still cant quite beleve how SH!T is was

Ive seen all the football hooligan films over the years and its amazing that the best ones , despite enough efforts ! , are still *ID* and the original *The Firm*

Away Days is the worst one of the lot

" No Ace. Just You "

Care to explain why?

I really liked it and added a realistic story to the protagonist's life.

I agree; i liked how it delved into the protagonist's life. However the actor wasn't very emotional or expressive; the actor playing Elvis was much more interesting to watch.

It defo wasnt the worst but the strangest footy hoolie film ive seen, though the hoolie element was more of a backdrop in the story i feel.

Green Street is my worst hoolie film, absolute crap.

I thought this film was pretty good, as was the remake of the Firm,(though Oldmans Bex was better, less of a bully). Footy factory was pretty good, i remember the hype when that film came out, everyone watched it, though despite a lot of criticism ID is my fave.

The thing that gets me about this film though (POSSIBLE SPOILERS) is How the predominately young mob seem to easily fend off older mobs, the one conclusion i can come to is it seems a large number (if not all) seem to carry stanley knives either that or their all absolute game as **** nutters.

Yeah, I'm no connoisseur of "football hooligan films", but this definitely felt like more of a "coming of age" film if we box it up like that.

The Pack did seem to storm through the rival mobs like they had stun guns or something, the final fight was particularly ridiculous I thought - the whole mob lay lifeless on the floor while Carty was having his epiphany. I guess that's preferable to longer fight sequences though, I think as it was all of the violence had a point, any more would have been gratuitous.

TOTALLY AGREE WITH YA MATE ! WHAT A *beep* FILM !

Instead of making a new thread about what a rubbish movie i thought this was, i thought id just post in a thread already made about it.

You compare this movie to films like the original Firm, Football Factory, Cas or the beginning of Rise of the Footsoldier, and it REALLY pales in comparison.

I mean this had no solid plot at all!!!, half the time you couldent make out why they were doing this or doing that and it had no solid direction. Its like with the Firm, you knew all the time why they were doing this and doing that.

And one bit that i thought was really stupid in this was when the firm that Stephen Grahams character was leading (which mainly consisted of teenagers) met up with another firm that mainly consisted of decently built adults, of the same number, they had a fight, and it was Stephen Grahams firm that won :-s

Yeah right.....either those adults were compleat wimps, or those teenagers were all like Ricky Hatton.

Totally agree !

What a pile of shite with the most non threatening looking supposed football hooligans in film history!

Best avoided this effort !
