Pretty ok sci-fi movie but a little transparent political message

I couldn't get over the political message about it. Yes I get it, apparently anyone from South Africa *must* talk about how evil racism is. Ok. But seriously...

Anyway fairly decent movie, a little sappy, and a little creepy/scary too. Sad ending I guess. Also I felt like it was a little beyond belief how insanely hierarchical and top-down the alien society was, and how weak they were compared to humans. But ::shrug::

Poor execution. Enemy Mine and Alien Nation did it so much better. Sadly millenials need to have their own repackaged movie that isn't too complicated for them to understand.
