Does anyone else notice strong similarities between Ian/Rex and Tyler/Narrator in Fight Club? Ian resembles Edward Norton's character, and Rex resembles Tyler. The scene I really saw it was the exchange in the garage when Rex was telling Ian to ask him if he could borrow the car. That entire scene seemed to play off of the scene in Fight Club when Tyler tells Edward Norton to ask if he can stay it his place. There were a few more instances but that one really stood out.

Not at all.

Not even a little bit.

Telling him to just ask because he was his brother is not a reference or similarity to Fight Club just because Tyler tells him to "just ask."

I see absolutely no similarities between the characters.
