i thought the movie was good, but i had one major problem...

where the hell are they getting all this money to use on their trip? i just could not get over it. i just want your opinion on the matter.

reply

Did they spend much money?

Although the gas, snacks, and a motel room might come to over $200, that doesn't seem a lot for 3 suburban ~18-year-olds that live with their "well-to-do" parents and have jobs.

reply

Don't forget the trip to the dentist.

reply

Yeah, that could've been expensive. But then again, she could have had dental insurance.

reply

HA! I wondered the same thing.

reply

What kind of dental work did she have, exactly? She was hit in the face with a lollipop and it looked like a tooth was weirdly crooked. So she might need a crown or even a root canal+buiildup+crown for something like that unless it was superficial in which case what, a veneer? And if she did get a crown they would have done impressions and it would take about a month to get the porcelain one so I'm to believe that she left with a temporary crown?

The dentist sequence was so badly done. They should have just had her nose get hit and gone to the ER with it all bloody or something. Would have made more sense.

lol guys who gives a **** about if the trip was expensive, you gota take that movie in the second degre of humour (dont bother about stuff like that) sean anders (producer of sex drive) made a lot of "mistakes" on purpose in the movie to make it goofy so i dont think he bother about their money :p

And did you guys forget about the beginning, you know, when Ian was working?

-Act, or your impulse, swallow the bottle, cut a little deeper, put the gun to you chest-

reply

He works in a mall at a donut kiosk that sells guacamole donuts and gives out tons of coupons every day for 6 free donuts... I doubt the store makes much money, and therefore he's likely a minimum wage employee since that's about all they could afford to pay someone. Regardless, he does have a job, and thus would be making at least some kind of money.

Also, on a totally unrelated note, you might want to correct the typos in your signature. It's "Act *on* your impulse, swallow the bottle, cut a little deeper, put the gun to *your* chest." Sorry, but that was bothering me so I had to say something.

I have no enemies, but am intensely disliked by my friends.

Ian worked in Bartlett, Ill., (I have friends there, so that caught my eye). Bartlett to Knoxville is a little less than 1,200 miles round-trip. At current gas prices, that would be about $200 in gas. Add in food and a cheap hotel and the trip would cost about $300. If Lance is kicking in for gas and everyone is buying their own food, the cost would not be a problem for three kids from an affluent Chicago suburb, especially when at least one of them has a part-time job.

reply

They had jobs ya damn hippy! Jobs!

reply

Having jobs is one thing. Having jobs that pay for such excursions is another story.

reply

Ian actually had a credit card, which he used to buy those condoms at the store. And Lance is a rich dude. period

reply

Obviously Ian is in a well-to-do family and he only works because his parents make him, which is why he has such a terrible job selling mexican theme donuts.
