Finale Question: Whiskey

Forgive me if this has been brought up, but I haven't seen it.

In Epitaph 1, Whiskey pumps some sort of gas into the Dollhouse and knocks out the raiding party. Does this kill them all? When it's revealed in Epitaph 2 that Alpha took over the house and helped a group of former dolls, I thought at first that Whiskey had merely put them all to sleep, knowing that Alpha had plans to take back the house. The gang she knocked out was later revived and wiped, etc. But now it looks like she just killed them all, including herself, since she never showed up again.

I feel like there's something missing in her story after the Rossum bombing, so maybe it was told and not shown and I just didn't hear it. How did she make it back to the house? Why did she insist on waiting there? I thought it was due to "Boyd" (he tells her he'll be back for her), but it's never really revealed. (Honestly, there's a lot about Whiskey that I wish we'd learned!)

I read that it was nerve gas ... and it is left open to speculation whether she wiped them after they had passed out, or whether they died -- she wasn't wearing a gas mask and looked as though she would have passed out as well. Unless she had some implant that made her immune. I think she would have wiped them and stayed around to help lead others to Safe Haven.

How did she make it back to the house?

Someone, can't remember if it was Topher or Ballard, says something like, "I've got Whiskey." So they pretty much got her back to the Dollhouse.

Why did she insist on waiting there?

Either programmed or told to. She was in Doll state after all. She was there to guide any other people to Safe Haven.

It was left open to what happened in part because Amy Acker was not available. Time wise, not enough time to really wrap up the main characters, but did the best they could, and the actual ending, me, choosing to think, (as have not completed any of my fan writing to dollhouse, just has not happening with my creative writing), so going with just my thinking.
After the others left the dollhouse, not easy re building and even not easy underground, as still some tensions but the main ones we got to "know" were willing to work on well living and getting to know each other again while preparing to go above ground. More to it but not complete in my thoughts, so sorta "seeing through the rose glasses" but also knowing all wont be "roses", or maybe "really full of thorns on them roses".
