The should have made "him" a "her"

Just like Captain Marvel it would have been successful by default...

No, they should had gone with John Stewart, perhaps with Hal Jordan as his mentor a la MiB. That'd been more interesting.

reply

an older Hal Jordan? that sounds interesting.

reply

Yeah with Sinestro and Star Sapphire as the villains. But that sounds way too interesting for WB so they tried to mimic Iron Man instead.

reply

Man that would have been great but yeah WB/DC were trying to copy Marvel's Iron man Success back then.

reply

I think it could had worked if they just took their time with it. Not cram an entire trilogy in the first movie.

reply

Definitely No. Never understood why people want to push John Stewart as the central lead just because of a 20 year old animated series that he was only chosen to fill a quota. Better choice if you want to see Stewart is a buddy cop movie that features both Hal, John & even Guy Gardner as main characters, that's a better idea than giving Hal Jordan the Hank Pym treatment, if you want an older mentor GL then Alan Scott would fit that description.

Well it seems you got your wish even if it is a bad one

They’re finally reading my posts!

JLU fan I presume

reply

Definitely NOT. Hal Jordan is Green Lantern

lol Good one. Captain Marvel only did well because they hyped it up as a must-watch for Avengers Endgame, where she ended up doing nothing. Not to mention the reports of empty sold-out theaters, which begs the question: how many people actually watched Captain Marvel?

And there's The Marvels. That should tell you all you need to know.
