Something I really don't get

I'm in the middle of season three, and I'm having a bit of a problem with the 'bronzing' concept.

Yes I understand that the bad guys who get bronzed are the worst of the worst, and no conventional prison could contain them.. But why not just kill them? That will end the threat once and for all. They can't wreak havoc if they're dead.

reply

THANK YOU! They had so many chances to incapacitate threats and they just sit there making wisecracks.

Ugh I can't with this show

reply

Two possible and mutually contradictory possibles.

1) They are against capital punishment.
2) Bronzing is considered harsher that death.

reply

One reason might be in the Universe of Warehouse 13 with all those artifacts Death is not necessarily permanent, neither is bronzing but at least you know if they have been released back into the world that way.

Maybe they're not just evil but also possess some valuable knowlegde or capabilities.

Look at the crew. Do you think they're killers? Also the show is a little light-hearted. It's not dark and edgy like SGU.

reply

Don't think. It's all about special effects, and the irritating chatter of the characters.

reply

some of them are immortal, some of them may be useful.

you can ask the same about artifacts. if they are so dangerous, why store them instead of destrdoying them. thats what warehouse did - store things. even bad people.

As you'll find out later, Some simply cannot be killed. It's also a show mechanic that allows for a new baddie of the episode/month/season to be introduced easily.
