Poor Pete

Pete Lattimer isn't the smartest one, nor is he the best fighter or shot on the show. He is the comedy relief, but always overshadowed by his partner. Basically a man-child with Myka being the smarter, more skilled and perceptive one. Why I love the show, just seems to be the trend that in order to have a strong female, they must first make the male basically appear as childish and inept as possible.

You know, Pete had "women's intuition." I thought it was interesting that Myka and Pete' gender strength were rather reversed. People underplay the fact that there are gender strengths, and I am not sure why. But I find it interesting that you recognize that Pete got less respect for his abilities. I'm not being snarky here, but women feel that a lot.

And yet he ends up with the beyond stunning Mika Baring/Joanne Kelly. Poor Pete indeed.

That wouldn't have happened in real life.
I really don't get why they forced it like that.
Not even the actors were okay with this.
