Season 4 tedium

I really liked the first seasons, but barely made it through season 4. The convoluted plots are lacking interest, and the character "cuteness" and bickering is annoying. The plots drag while they do their same old bicker shtick. I may not watch the last season.

I'm digging through season 4 now. For the most part, the show is as it was. It's just collapsing under the weight of a drawn out plot that's not very interesting, and would have been dealt with very quickly in earlier seasons. The best thing about shows of this nature is that in general, if you don't like the big picture, just buckle down, it won't be long before a new big picture comes along to replace it. But this show has kind of spit balled out their big pictures into one continuing mess, which makes you start to dislike the show in general if you're not a fan of that plot. I for one didn't care for the master arc of season 2. At all. But then things took a new spin with season 3 which was great. But things ended in such a way that we've now wasted a season's worth of episodes dealing with the aftermath garbage of season 3 which is making me just hate that season as well. In that way, I think that style of writing is dangerous. Here I am as a fan, having enjoyed everything so far, thinking maybe just the first season was good. But i'm optimistic. In terms of jumping the shark and going bad, this show's transgressions (by mid season 4) are pretty slight.

You can say that again. Season 4 is like one long train wreck. Each show is crushed under the weight of melodrama (i.e. soap opera) vs drama. The acting is way too over the top, and so are the stories. It's as if each character is trying to outdo all the other characters. And things like flitting all over the globe in the blink of an eye, amongst other blatant silliness, just ruin any semblance of believability.
