macpherson was the downfall

Macpherson was an interesting character but it was added way too early. We can argue that wh13 was doomed as soon as eureka was given the ax but it could've gone further if not for macpherson. The character distracted from the freshness of the show and simply drug it into a hole. Wh13 was an Indiana Jones style tv show and could've gone so far if it hadn't of focused so much attention on that stupid character. Oh well...I just miss wh13 and eureka...

Syfy apparently spends quite a bit of money producing the two shows-that was what the downfall of both of them were.

Warehouse 13 evidently, according to interviews with the cast, was the most expensive show that Syfy has developed and that includes all of the shows while it was called SciFi Channel. With Eureka, it was considered to have been at the time when new contract negotiations were to have been made and they didn't want to have to pay the cast and the creators of the show more money and even things such as royalties or profits from merchandise.

But the writers killed off McPherson rather early on. We enjoyed the character but agree he was introduced way to early. Season three going dark and really BAD writing was the downfall of this show. This show really could have gone on for years and years!
