Sound

I watched this around 1:30 a. and had to keep the sound down (live in a high rise). Too bad the sound engineer or editor or whatever/whomever performed POORLY! I could not hear Cusack the whisperer. OMG. So I'd turn it up to 63 just to hear him, and this is followed by a chase scene or some action, and WHAM, the sound blares!!! Similar problem with the short lived series Luck....I had to watch that via close captioned just to get the dialog. How sound is not checked is beyond me. Very annoying when not balanced.

I agree. I live in a duplex and try to be considerate of my neighbor, who leaves for work at 4am. I spent the first 20 minutes blasting the volume so I could understand Mumbles McGee (aka John Cusack), followed by muting it to avoid exploding my eardrums with the crappy score. Thankfully Netflix has subtitles or I wouldn't have bothered finishing it.

Otherwise, the movie was technically proficient (notice I did not say the writing or Jennifer Carpenter's acting) - is it that difficult to find a competent sound editor?

They're coming to get you, Barbara!
