For those who hated the ending...(SPOILERS)

What would have been your perfect ending?

Would you have just had Cusack kill Gary? Would there have been a twist ending? Would Cusack come down the stairs instead of Carpenter? Would everyone (Cusack, Carpenter, and Roberts (Gary)) have died?

I, personally, would have liked for Cusack and Carpenter to have had a mini-tussel before he throws, kicks or punches her out the window to her death. He still would have been shot, but it would have been more climatic. Whether or not he died, would be up to the viewer.

But, I did like the ending. I would have liked it if they would have taken a different approach.

The movie was very mediocre. The ending was pure crap. When Cusack and Carpenter go to the house at the end to look for Carl, when they step foot in the house, why wouldn't Carpenter just kill Cusack? That way Carl doesn't get killed.. But instead, they had her play along just for the sake of the twist. Movie was bad. Twist was surprising, but not in a good way. It just made no sense at all.

I think everyone's missing the biggest plot hole which is WHO WAS TAKING CARE OF THOSE BABIES WHEN THEY BOTH KILLERS APPARENTLY HAD FULL TIME JOBS?!?! They left three infants who need round the clock care all alone for 8 hours a day? Seriously, *beep* this movie....

It would have been fine by me had it been Cusack coming down the stairs.
Or even if the young daughter had to kill Carpenter who had shot her dad.
But for her to get away killing such a venerable cop and father, and walk away as a mother to 3 children? That's a sick ending, and unsatisfying too.

Have Cusack's character be wounded but not dead. Have the last scene have the cops waiting for her in the house.
