Ok, fair enough with the "adopted" explanation, but wasn't she a full-time police officer?
How would she explain that?
Changed identity, and career, with forged papers for her and the children.
Embezzled or robbed money from crooks, drug dealers or the evidence room.
She ENTERED the police force as a mean to facilitate her acquisition of the babies, she could be scheming, making underworld contacts since the beginning.
The movie don't explain, nor does it have to. I don't care if it doesn't give full explanations for everything, it was not that story it wanted to tell us.
Probably wont last either, but as I said, it was not telling THAT story.

You realize adoptions require paperwork and other people, right? You don't just show up to school and say "HEY, MY ADOPTED KID WANTS TO GO HERE. I DON'T HAVE ANY PAPERS OR ANYTHING, BUT I PROMISE I DIDN'T STEAL HER"

She tells the realtor to go inside and they (her and the baby she's holding) will be in in a minute. Obviously she's going back to the car for the other two or she'd just followed the realtor into the house immediately. share
