I hope it's true they did it this way in part to piss off the "incels" who embraced the first Joker movie.

I just like the idea that they spent hundreds of millions just to troll what's really a pretty small percentage of the population.

There were probably other reasons, misguided artistic reasons, but I hope that was the main one.

I am guessing another toxic female who think herself as some sort of "price".

The answer is: Joaquin Phoenix

I guarantee you that he's responsible for this "artistic" turd. All his movies are like that. He's basically playing the Joker in every movie he's in, and he really loves singing. There you go.

reply

It is actually a reasonable assumption, they can't really do a movie without him.

reply

Seems like a huge money loss to make a multi-million dollar film to troll a small percent of the population.

reply

If these so-called "incels" were a small percentage, the first movie wouldn't have made a billion dollars, and the second movie wouldn't have flopped as bad as it did.

reply

You're assuming that I think everyone who went to see it is an "incel".

reply

That, and that you think everyone who identified with it is an "incel".

reply

That's kind of how the media portrayed it. I said they (actual incels) were really a small percentage of the population. I don't actually think everyone who liked the movie is like that. I was being sarcastic, really. That's why I put scare quotes around incel.

reply

You're missing the point. Incels identify with The Joker anti-hero character, not the movie.

Some guy thinks the whole genre is fascist. Must be a Commie!

You must not know a lot of Joker's influence came from Taxi Driver.

how many incels are there?
have we found out how many tickets were sold to incels?
And do they have to say they are incels when they buy the ticket?
