A disappointing and unnecessary sequel 4/10 (SPOILER WARNING)

Pros:
* Phoenix and the cast were good as expected.
* Cinematography was great
* Some of the scenes in the court room were pretty good
* Great score

Cons:
* Terrible pacing and weak story. Almost nothing happens for the first hour.
* Harley Quinn was wasted in a small supporting role.
* The musical numbers were bland and added nothing.
* It made no sense why Arthur decided to stop being Joker suddenly.
* The ending was awful and made the entire movie a complete waste of time. We've followed Arthur for two movies only to find out he's not the real Joker and then gets stabbed to death.

Agree with most of this, but I guess I'm one of the few who actually liked the ending of him getting stabbed. The "I want a fine young son, to take my place" musical attachment was probably the only one that really elevated a scene.

Arthur failing at his relationship with the supposedly pregnant Harley, and instead leaving a "son" through the inspiration of his Joker persona. I don't know, it felt strangely twisted and appropriate to me, and the shot of him bleeding out with the dude laughing in the background was artfully done.

The rest of the movie was quite the mess however, despite some highlights here and there.

i have never watched Marvel or DC movies cuz i hate super hero movies , i did enjoy Joker 2 and gave it 7 on IMDB (gave 9 for the first Joker) , just disappointed by the ending , I was hoping he would be so sad because of his gf dumping him he would create a whole new movement and unleash his wrath and anger in a 3rd movie with all his followers, no big action or shooting scenes needed just the same style/atmosphere as the first two movies.

the big question: what is the meaning to the end? why did he suddenly "stopped" being the Joker? Didn't he understand that the ONLY reason the girl liked him was because he was the Joker? Was it one more way to show the viewers how delusional he was ?

Agree with the pros, disagree a little with the cons https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ylHQKtVcXj4

More like 0/10. One of the worst sequels ever that tarnished the first in the process

It's far from one of the worst sequels I've ever seen. It has some redeeming qualities.

But how many sequels also ruin the first one? We were told it was about the joker, now we know all we got is a cruel joke. We are basically laughed in our faces.
