Terrible animation.

Someone tell Disney to stop making these terrible CGI animated movies, they look worse than the hand drawn animation. They look like the Marionnettes off Thunderbirds.

I'm not the only one who thinks the animation sucks. Quoting from Nerdist:

"The film is overtly based on “When You Wish Upon a Star” and “A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes.” It’s also overstuffed with elements, like singing woodland creatures and a fairy tale framing, meant to pay homage to Golden Age Disney classics. And it’s structured like the studio’s Renaissance era movies while looking like an early 2000s release. It’s Disney-Inception. And none of it works.

All that self-adulation and referential storytelling detracts from a great idea, as does a woefully incomplete, subpar script. The result is a film with a major identity crisis made worse by subpar animation."

Disney's hand drawn animation was always A+

I saw that animators have leaked that the animation process took 4 months in total, they know what the budget was for the movie and aren't happy with how little went to making it. Where did the budget go? I'd asume it went into the pockets of the Disney executives. They keep getting paid despite flop after flop.

The production budget is supposed to be $200 mil, maybe it is Hollywood accounting.
